Daily Planner

The Daily Planner is the screen you run the day from. It opens by default after sign-in and has four tabs: Planner, Focused, Notes, and Time Blocks. A Work / Personal switch at the top changes all four at once.

The morning: brain dump to plan

Tap Start the day (or the dump field on the Planner tab) and empty your head. Type or dictate; nothing has to be organized. The dump autosaves and comes back if you close it; it only clears once you have turned it into tasks.

Tap Process. One fast AI pass turns every line into an editable review list:

  • Each proposed task arrives with a best-guess effort, a Work or Personal category, and any project or quest it matched.
  • A line that matches a task you already have is flagged "Already have this task" and unchecked, so you do not create duplicates.
  • Headings in your dump ("### Client launch") become groups, each with a one-tap project selector.
  • Lines that read like reflection rather than commitment are split into a quieter "Reads like journaling" section and saved, in your words, as a journal entry when you apply.
  • Lines that are ideas or things to keep, not actions, can go to your lists instead.

Adjust anything with a tap, then Apply. Nothing is created until you do.

Two helpers sit beside the review:

  • Advise me gives the AI's opinion of your day: an ordered list with a plain-English reason for each item ("15 minutes, unblocks a quest milestone, deferred four days"), a warning when you are overcommitted, and a capacity check against your time blocks. Accept all, cherry-pick, or ignore it.
  • Review overdue appears when tasks have slipped. It walks them one at a time with a suggestion and a reason. Keep, reschedule, move to inbox, mark done, or delete; nothing changes until you confirm the batch.

Planner tab

The day's tasks in the current space, grouped so you always know what matters: starred first, then overdue, then today's, with recurring occurrences where they belong. Unfinished tasks roll forward each morning. New tasks you add here land on today unless you pick a day.

Two things arrive on this tab that you did not write:

  • From your Library. Two or three items a day, chosen by what you have been neglecting and biased toward what you are working on. Each is two lines and one thinking prompt. One tap makes it a task or opens the piece.
  • From your Chief of Staff. If you run an agent that files a morning card, it appears here for the day: what changed overnight, what needs you, the top three. It links back to the run that produced it. Agents may write this card; they may never write to your Notes tab.

Focused tab

Everything you have flagged, across days, in one short list. A flag means today. Flagged tasks stay on this list until you complete or unflag them, and they roll forward with you. This is the list to work from once the morning ritual is done. Focus Mode in the sidebar hides the rest of the app around it.

Notes tab

A notes page for every day, beside the plan. Yours alone; no agent writes here. Notes you take today feed tomorrow's brain dump if you want them to, and lines you highlight in the Journal can be sent to a task, a list, or the Library without retyping.

Time Blocks tab

Your calendar as reality. External calendars sync in read-only, so meetings are already on the grid. Tasks reach the grid from a tray on this tab: drag one onto an hour and it becomes a block. HeroMind does not auto-schedule your day; the plan you see is the one you placed. Advise me uses the free space between blocks to tell you what fits.

Week View

Tasks in the sidebar opens a horizontal seven-day view of the same data. A task's column is its due day. Drag between days to reschedule. Starred tasks rise within a day. Agent-filed tasks show who filed them and a Run link back to the source.

From the planner's tab strip or the Week View bar, Print opens a one-page task sheet for the day or the week, with options for which columns and spaces to include. It prints cleanly to paper or PDF.

Rules worth knowing

  • Every task belongs somewhere: today, a future day, a project, or your inbox. The inbox holds tasks with no project and no date. Nothing floats in a hidden someday pile; things you are not committing to belong in Lists, not Tasks.
  • Recurring occurrences do not roll forward. A missed Tuesday gym slot is gone on Wednesday; the next occurrence shows fresh. Ordinary tasks do roll forward.
  • The AI never moves, reschedules, or creates anything on its own. Every plan, proposal and review is read-only until you confirm it.
  • What HeroMind learns about you from your task history ("underestimates big tasks about 2×") lives in Settings, visible, dismissible, deletable. Dismissed statements are never re-added.
  • Discarding a brain dump deletes its raw text permanently.
